Covered pointer problems

touchpad stopped working
The touchpad on my Cepter PC stopped working after a Windows update. There seems to be no icon and no driver to update or activate. I tried the PC in Linux and that works fine with the touchpad. Do i download some generic driver or what?

My cursor jumps when typing
When I am typing sometimes the cursor jumps to a different location and enters the letters I typed there. All of the solutions I have read on this subject seem to deal with the touchpad, but I have that turned off.
