I have a subscription for both EXCEL AND WINDOWS. I still have the WINDOWS part but lost the EXCEL part. I am still being billed for the full amount of the subscription. What or where do I go to get my full subscription?

    Hi Don,

    1

Of Office (Microsoft 365) is currently installed on your PC:

    Open Word.

At the top right of Word, log out of Office.

Restart (not shut down) your PC, then log back into Office, is your subscription then recognized correctly and if Excel is working correctly.

    2

If Excel is still not working correctly:

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)

Go to Apps - Installed Apps, then scroll down to find Microsoft Office

Select that and choose Modify - Online Repair

That should fix any issues with your Office Installation.

    3

If that does not resolve the problem, completely uninstall Office, then download and reinstall Office form your Microsoft account on this link:

Check the subscription status first at Services & subscriptions using the same Microsoft account used to buy Microsoft 365.

If the subscription is active there:

    1. Sign out of the Microsoft 365 apps.
    2. Sign back in with that same Microsoft account.
    3. Search for Excel from the Windows Start menu. If it is missing, reinstall Microsoft 365 from the Services & subscriptions page.

If the subscription does not show as active on that account, the purchase may be tied to a different Microsoft account.

If the subscription was bought directly from Microsoft, manage it on the Microsoft account subscriptions page, where billing, renewal, and installation options are available.

If it was bought through Apple, Google, or another retailer, billing and subscription management must be handled with that provider directly.

If the billing looks correct but Excel is still unavailable after confirming the active subscription and signing back in, contact Microsoft Support through the support contact flow for subscription help.
