Using Outlook for Android for personal email and calendar management
Hi all
Please note this is a user-to-user community. As moderators, we have limited access to internal development details. Our role is to direct users to the appropriate support channels and resources. While we cannot provide backend analysis, we will do our best to assist within our responsibilities.
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Community. To help you all understand, I would like to have some notes on the problem and provide alternative workarounds:
- Update Outlook for Android to the newest build from the Play Store.
- Check your Android OS version. As of Jan 5, 2026, Outlook for Android only receives updates on Android 10 or higher. If your phone is on Android 9.x or earlier, you won’t get the latest fixes—please update the OS if possible.

- See Microsoft’s “Fixes or workarounds for Outlook mobile apps.” If the issue persists, follow that page and watch for “Investigating/Resolved” entries related to calendar—Microsoft updates this page for known mobile issues.
- Workaround while you wait for a fix: add the event from Outlook on the web (or another calendar you’ve connected). The event should sync down to Outlook for Android.
If you still hit the bug after updating the app and OS, please use Outlook mobile > Settings > Help & Feedback > Contact Support so the Outlook team can capture logs tied to your device and app version.
I hope this helps you clarify things. Thank you for your understanding.
