Family Subscription but group calls limited to 60 minutes?

I have a MS Office 365 Family subscription and I believe this allows me to host group calls up to 30 hours in length on Teams. However, I am finding that my group calls are being limited to 60 minutes. I'm sure this has recently changed as I believe I have had longer group calls up until a few weeks ago. The most recent group call was with my two sons who are both part of the family account but away at University.

I am using the Teams app with Windows 10 and login to my Teams account using my ****@outlook.com account.

I tried resetting the Teams app but it hasn't made any difference.

Please can you help.

Thanks
Ashley

I had a similar experience and got no clear answers from Microsoft support, even after the nearly two hour chat and being switched to three different support people. The support staff seems clueless about the 365 Family Classic product and what it includes and does not include.

This would not be an issue to me if Microsoft had not arbitrarily decided to deactivate Skype, which worked well for me in group calls with my two sons, and also was much easier to use than Teams.

Microsoft should clearly explain somewhere on its product information site that 365 Family Classic does NOT include the group call hosting for more than one hour. The lack of clear guidance is appalling.

    Hi, Ashley

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community.

Based on your description I noticed that your Teams group calls are limited to 60 minutes in case you have a Microsoft 365 subscription.

Normally your call duration management is automatically effected by the app when it acquires your cloud subscription plan.

Since your current call duration is not normal and you had a longer call duration a few weeks ago.

I recommend that you first check to see if the subscription plans that are active in your account are working by logging into your Microsoft account.

You can check your subscription by logging in at the following link:

Microsoft account | Sign In or Create Your Account Today – Microsoft

You have tried resetting your Teams program but it made no difference, I suggest you log out of your Teams logged in account and retry logging in and check your account's subscription benefits within the app settings.

If your subscription status is normal but the call duration is still incorrect, I suggest you contact Teams online support via this link :

    Contact - Microsoft Support

Feel free to post back if you need further assistance.
