Filters and Hidden Columns in SharePoint Excel just randomly unfilter and unhide themselves

Hello,

We have created several excel sheets which we then move to become sharepoint files. Each user has created their own sheet view in any given file, and is supposed to work in their view, as there can be 2-4 of us in the sheet at the same time. We each apply our own hidden columns and filters to the file for the part we are working in. Randomly, while working, the sheet will just unhide all columns or unfilter itself in sheet view. This happens to each of us. Even if we choose to edit in Excel and not in sharepoint, it happens. Sharepoint defaults to Microsoft Edge office 365 excel app. How do we stop this from happening? It is super frustrating.

It is super frustrating we have 16 locations around the world and it happens to everyone. Totally defeats the purpose of having a shared sheet. Thanks for your input.

I am doing filters in my view, and they are doing filters in their view. So I am not sure how someone could change it? I've asked them if they are accidentally in my view and they say no. It happens to all of us, not just me.

Filter should always keep. It is possible some other one accidently changed it?

It seems limitation in Excel that Sheet view cannot keep the hidden columns.

You may send feedback to Microsoft. Hope product team will improve it in next version.
