    Yes - this needs to be fixed. The only thing you can do is upon opening the one drive app .0313 is to then immediately open the activity monitor and force quit the one drive updater. Its not ideal but it works and you will need to do it every time you reboot or open the app. I would also turn off "open at log in" in one drive preferences so that the app does not open and update automatically. That way you can open it, turn off the updater asap and have v .0313 working.

    Hello TIA,

    You could, may be, try this one:

    1/ Edit this .plist (if it's still in place):

    $ sudo nano /Library/LaunchAgents/com.microsoft.OneDriveStandaloneUpdater.plist

    2/ Find that line:

    <key>RunAtLoad</key>

    <true/>

    3/ Change with:

    <key>RunAtLoad</key>

    <false/>

    4/ Reinstall OneDrive.

    I didn't test it (so happy with my still running v23.054.0313...) but it should prevent any update.

    Best regards

    Thanks for the replys y'all. I tried the first method and this method (reinstalled it with brew). It keeps updating to 23.066.0326. Do you have another idea?

    Kind Regards

    Hello Roberto,

    When you say it didn't work, you mean:

    1/ the terminal replied something like 'command not found'

    2/ it didn't prevent OneDrive to update?

    If 1/, please don't type the '$' at the beginning of the command, it just indicates the prompt.

    For example, just type:

    launchctl remove com.microsoft.OneDriveStandaloneUpdater

    If 2/, then please try the other method I proposed.

    Best regards

    Hello,

    Same problem. So I reinstalled v23.054.0313.

    Then, after installation, I immediately stopped the processes :

    $ launchctl remove com.microsoft.OneDriveStandaloneUpdater

    $ sudo launchctl remove com.microsoft.OneDriveStandaloneUpdaterDaemon

    $ sudo launchctl remove com.microsoft.OneDriveUpdaterDaemon

    And deleted the corresponding .plist :

    $ sudo rm /Library/LaunchAgents/com.microsoft.OneDriveStandaloneUpdater.plist

    $ sudo rm /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.microsoft.OneDriveStandaloneUpdaterDaemon.plist

    $ sudo rm /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.microsoft.OneDriveUpdaterDaemon.plist

    Seems to work.

    Best regards

    Hey man!
    Sorry for my newbie question, but where on the Mac did you run this stop and delete script?
    I tried to run it in Terminal and it didn't work! :(

    Hello Joshua,

    I installed Onedrive with Homebrew, not with the Microsoft installer.

    Which, I guess, prevents it to be automatically launched.

    The operations I suggested should be done before launching the installed app.

    Best regards

    Hi MM,

    It seems that brew install homebrew/cask/onedrive installs version 23.061.0319.0003

    Downloading https://oneclient.sfx.ms/Mac/Installers/23.061.0319.0003/universal/OneDrive.pkg

    which is immediatly updated to 23.066.0326 (which doesnn't work on 10.15.7)

    From what I remember, the lauchctl patch and plist removal from Joshua's post had been applied before trying to start the OneDrive app.

    Any ideas what's going on here ? TIA
