MICROSOFT--you have known about this for days. Why is it taking so long? Can you imagine if Microsoft business emails were down for days? Doubt it would take this long for a fix.

I have opened a ticket on May 9th, worked with 2 different level support agents only to be told it is a godaddy issue. Godaddy states they do not have the email license, MICROSOFT has the license, therefore it is a microsoft issue. Seems to be a bug with microsoft and the May 9th "security intelligence" updates and possibilty of being forced to use copilot such as outlook mobile app-we cannot turn copilot off and MS tech states there is not a way to do so. I have MS office2019 and outlook mobile app, all emails are down that are business emails through business godaddy domains.

    Hi,

I have had the exact same problem for three days. I have just contacted Go Daddy who have said the following.

we are aware of the issue with Microsoft, and it is not related to GoDaddy. I hope you understand that both our team and the Microsoft team are working to resolve the issue. Please don't worry; as soon as possible, you will be able to access your emails on Outlook. Hope this helps and its up and running soon!

Thanks for the message, fingers crossed that this hopefully will be the case. Probably last Thursday was another Outlook365 update which caused this issue as it seems to occur thereafter.

    Best

    Horst

Hey there! It looks like the issue is peculiar to third-party non-Outlook originated email addresses. Only my work email was affected; gmail was not. Below is what GoDaddy through whom I obtained my domain name and email sent to me in a text in troubleshooting:

"If you were using the Windows mail app or pre-installed Classic Free Outlook for Windows, it no longer supports Professional domain-based email addresses. Microsoft is now requiring a Microsoft 365 desktop Office license to use the new Outlook apps with a Microsoft 365 Work or School account. Currently, if you have a professional email in Classic Outlook sooner or later they'll get affected. Only personal email addresses like Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. will continue to work. To learn more, please check the article by Microsoft: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/outlook-blog/how-licensing-works-for-work-and-school-accounts-in-the-new/ba-p/4047361"

As a consequence of the above, I had to upgrade my service with GoDaddy as recommended in the quoted language above. Bummer, but it appears to have fixed the issue. Hope that this helps others having the same issue.

    Best
