Volume won't go over 37 and sound warning disappeared

After I plugged in a speaker to this laptop, I noticed that there is no way to increase volume over 37. There was no sound warning too. I connected my earbuds which I use everyday and have had no problem before, the same thing happens. How to fix?

Also there is no enhancement tab when both were connected.

I tried it. Didn't work. And even if it had worked, it would be weird that for found to work it must depend on something like a notification system.

The only way it worked was by removing the "original" driver installing the generic from realtek's website. But then comes a windows update and *****s the thing again.

It's a shame that a giant like microsoft clearly has problems on basic things like this one.

I solved my issue by uninstalling the Realtek driver and installing (Let me choose) the generic one. Tried using an earlier version of Realtek first but that didn't do it.

    How #$^%#$%@#^ annoying!!!

I hate this notification, so I went to the notifications section of the settings and disabled it, hoping I could just turn up my volume without being bothered. To my surprise, I ran into the problem that you're talking about, and to solve it I just went to:

    -Notifications & Actions settings

    -Get Notifications from these apps

And turned the "Realtek Audio Console" notifications on. Lo and Behold, the notification got back, and I could hit allow and turn the volume up.

After trying the imposible I read your suggestion and it totally worked....thanks sooooo much!!!

    stupid answer

totally copy and past and worthless

classic for tech geeks, dont listen to the problem, throw the whole book at you

1 - is your computer turned on etc, classic stupidity

    stupid reply

    totally inflammatory and pointless

classic for trolls, don't recognize that the person is only trying to help

Rolling back to the generic Microsoft Driver works for me, but disables access to Stereo Mix (something that I use frequently).
