After I plugged in a speaker to this laptop, I noticed that there is no way to increase volume over 37. There was no sound warning too. I connected my earbuds which I use everyday and have had no problem before, the same thing happens. How to fix?
Also there is no enhancement tab when both were connected.

If you dont want to revert back to an old driver, heres the proper solution after updating the realtek driver.
Right click the volume control -> Open Sound settings
With "Headphones (Realtek(R) Audio)" as your output device, click "Device Properties".
Under "Related Settings", click "Additional device properties"
The second tab in the popup window should say "Custom"
Deselect "Ear Protection" and then close the popup
Even after a restart my laptop stops warning me and lets me raise the volume to 100%
I've had the same problem for several days now. Troubleshooting, uninstalling/re-installing, and the other "solutions" posted have not worked. What is going on with this Microsoft...?
LOL now you want people to install Adware ... good luck with that trick
mine wont work either ):
