My Account is hacked and might be deleted or relocated to another email

Use the Microsoft account recovery path immediately:

1. Start the Microsoft self-help recovery tool and enter the email address or phone number for the account. The tool can provide self-help steps or offer the chance to talk to an agent.
2. If access is blocked because of unusual sign-in activity, use the Sign-in Helper to try to unblock the Outlook.com account.
3. If sign-in still fails, use the Microsoft account sign-in recovery flow and select Forgot my password. If prompted, choose I think someone else is using my Microsoft account.
4. Before changing the password on any device that was used with the account, run a full malware scan:
   • Open Windows Security
   • Go to Virus and threat protection
   • Select Scan options > Full scan > Scan now
5. If access is recovered, immediately:
   • Change the password
   • Review recent activity on the Security basics page
   • Check connected accounts, forwarding, and automatic replies for unauthorized changes

Important limits called out in Microsoft support content:

• If all security info was removed and replaced, the account can enter a restricted state for 30 days while the security info change is pending.
• If the account email was changed by the attacker, Microsoft support content and support forum guidance indicate recovery may no longer be possible through normal self-service methods. In that case, the remaining option is to use the recovery/self-help flow to reach support, or request the account be secured or suspended.
