Use the Microsoft Support contact page and enter Chat with an agent or Live Chat in the search box:

    Then:

    1. Sign in with the Microsoft account that needs help.
    2. Select Contact support.
    3. Choose the product.
    4. Select the option to chat with a support agent in your web browser if it appears.

For Microsoft 365 personal/home support, one documented path is:

    1. Open https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/
    2. Sign in.
    3. Select Microsoft 365.
    4. Click Get home support.
    5. Type Chat with an agent.
    6. Select Contact support and follow the prompts to reach live chat or request a callback.

If the live chat option does not appear, trying again during business days and business hours can help because more support agents are available then.

    Hello, Ellen Reynard.

    Launch the Get Help app:

    GetHelp

The application window opens. In the search bar, type (without quotes) "agent support" and press Enter. Ignore the search results, and click on the "Contact Support" button at the bottom. On the next page, select "Microsoft 365 and Office" and "Technical Support" from the drop-down lists, and then click on "Confirm". Next, select the chat "Chat with a support agent in your web browser". The browser will start and a chat window will open in it. Wait for the operator to respond and describe your problem.
