Hi, - YW Academy Ltd
The screenshot shows the recently identified Word for Mac activation issue, “Unknown Error 0x0,” rather than an expired subscription. The issue has been resolved through an Office update, and restarting the Mac alone will not install the fix.
Here are some suggestions you can try:
Close Word and all other Office apps.
Open Finder > Applications > Microsoft AutoUpdate, then select Update All. If Microsoft AutoUpdate is not listed, open /Library/Application Support/Microsoft/MAU2.0/ and launch it from there.
If Word was installed from the Mac App Store, open App Store > Updates and update Word and the other Office apps instead.
Reopen Word and sign in using the Microsoft account that owns the subscription. The Mac must be running macOS 12 or later for this fix. See Unknown Error 0x0 or License Not Found on macOS for the official steps.
For immediate access, upload the document to Microsoft 365 for the web, open it in Word online, and continue editing while updating the desktop app. Do not delete or reinstall Word before trying the update.
Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.
