Hello, I recently fell victim to a phishing website, which led to my Microsoft account being hacked. All the email addresses and sign-in methods associated with my account have been changed. Now, I can no longer access my account using my previous email, and the system says, "This account doesn’t exist."

I have already tried all possible recovery methods, including filling out the Microsoft account recovery form. However, even the recovery form displays a message saying, "We couldn’t find an account with that email address," leaving me completely stuck with no further steps to take.

This account is extremely important to me, as it contains significant personal data and records. I have also attempted to contact Microsoft support, but I haven’t been able to get an immediate response. I feel helpless and desperate at this point.

I sincerely request help from the Microsoft team or anyone in the community who can assist me in recovering my account or guide me on what to do next. I’m willing to provide more details or any information required to verify my ownership of the account.

Thank you very much for any assistance you can provide!

Please note that this is zh-hk Q&A Forum, any threads should be posted in zh-hk. However, I will still provide an answer in English based on your initial response.

    Hi @吳 宗育

I’m very sorry this happened. Since the attacker appears to have replaced the account aliases and security methods, your previous email address may no longer identify the account. This explains why both sign-in and the recovery form report that the account does not exist.

Please try the Microsoft Sign-in Helper using your original email address or phone number. Microsoft specifically recommends this tool for compromised accounts, and it may provide the appropriate recovery route or an option to contact an agent.

If the address is still not recognized, use Contact Microsoft Support and explain clearly that:

    • The account was compromised through phishing.
    • The primary alias and all sign-in methods were changed.
    • Your original username now returns “This account doesn’t exist.”
    • The recovery form cannot locate the account.

Please understand that forum moderators cannot access accounts or verify ownership. Microsoft support agents are also not permitted to manually change account details or send password-reset links, but they can guide you through the available official process.

Meanwhile, scan the affected device for malware and immediately change any passwords reused on other accounts.

Thank you for your understanding and time
