The changes need to be made at https://admin.mcirosoft.com.
- In the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, navigate to Users $\rightarrow$ Active Users, select the current user's account, and remove the relevant Microsoft 365 license(s).
- The administrator needs to go to the Azure Active Directory (now Microsoft Entra admin center), select Users, find the old user, and either Disable/Require Re-register MFA or Revoke Multi-Factor Authentication sessions to invalidate the existing Authenticator registration.
- Download the Microsoft Authenticator app and start the new MFA for your account, using scanning a QR code.
- Test and Complete: Once the account is added in the app, the web sign-in will prompt for a test approval. Approve the notification on your phone to verify the new MFA setup and complete the license transfer/device migration process.
