I did not encrypt the files when they were on the exFAT drive, I encrypted them when they were on the Windows built-in D drive. I then copied these files to an external SSD drive that uses the exFAT file system. I did not use any extra programs when copying these files, I copied the files to the external exFAT drive with the built-in Windows Explorer and the files were encrypted when they were on my external SSD drive in this exFAT format. During the copying process, these encrypted files were also encrypted when they were written to my exFAT drive.
After I formatted the computer, even though I have a certificate and .pfx key for the encrypted files and I installed the certificates in the right places, when I click on the encrypted files it says "you must have write and modify authorization".
What can I do to recover my files, please give me a solution. I recovered my certificate and .pfx key from drive D with a data recovery program.
I have my password, I have my key and I have my certificate but I still cannot access my encrypted folders.
Please give me a solution.
