Does anyone know how to remove files from the "Shared with me" list in Excel and the Home page in OneDrive? I'd really appreciate your help!

The “Shared with me” and Home sections are activity views, not actual folders. These entries are visible only in your account, but deleted files may remain as stale references. There is also a known OneDrive issue where some shared entries cannot be hidden or removed.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

Sign in to OneDrive on the web, select Shared, then select the unwanted item and choose Hide from Shared. This removes the entry from your view only. It does not delete anything or affect other people. Items must currently be hidden one at a time.

If the entry appears in Excel under Recent, right-click it and select Remove from list. If it is pinned, unpin it first.

If Hide from Shared is missing, or selecting it produces an error because the file no longer exists, try the OneDrive website in an InPrivate/Incognito window.

If the entry still cannot be removed, it likely matches the current known issue with invalid shared-file references. In that case, there is no reliable permanent cleanup available from the user interface yet. It is recommended that you report it through Help & Settings > Feedback in OneDrive.
