Hi Jiyeon,
By default, Microsoft Teams allows participants to join a scheduled meeting even if the organizer (host) is not present. However, if the meeting options or your organization’s policy require the organizer to admit participants from the lobby (for example, when “Who can bypass the lobby” is set to Only me), then the host must join first.
To allow participants to enter without the host:
- Open the meeting invite in Teams and select Meeting options.
- Under Who can bypass the lobby, choose Everyone or People in my organization.
- You can also assign co-organizers who can manage the meeting if you’re not available.
For more details, check these official Microsoft resources:
- Meeting options in Microsoft Teams
- Using the lobby in Microsoft Teams meetings
- Manage lobby options (Admin guide)
This way, your meeting can proceed even if you’re not able to join.
