2024年1月23日 Microsoft Photos: File system error (-2147219196) - Microsoft Community
でもIntel Core 2 CPU 32bit Windows 10上では正常動作を確認しているようです。
Thanks to all of you contributing here. Not being alone with this problem helps a bit.
I upvoted the feedbacks mentioned earlier and entered my own feedback in Feedback Hub on another PC: Please look for the title
"Windows 10 22H2: Windows Store Apps (Calculator, Photos, Paint 3D, Feedback Hub) are no longer working for Intel Core 2 CPUs". I would like to encourage you to upvote and send your own feedback to Microsoft, too.
A new observation:
- Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 Windows 64bit (22H2, current patch level, recently updated store apps): same issues as described here already.
- But surprisingly on an old test machine with Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, Windows 10 32bit 22H2 (19045.3930) all these apps work flawlessly! All apps were updated automatically today (before I could turn this off ...) and e.g. Calculator shows the most current version 11.2311.0.0 (x86).
It even survived installing the only offered Windows update (KB5034582: 2024-01 .NET Framework Preview from 2024-01-23). I did not install the optional KB5034203. The updates from 2024-01-09 have been in place already before. Updating all store apps, switching the automatic updates back on, and rebooting left the apps intact!
Consequently, the error might be further narrowed down to 64-bit Windows systems, only.
Please let us know, if you experience the problems with a 32bit-Windows 10 22H2. (see in: Settings / About / System type)
IMHO this could speak for the theory that someone at Microsoft fiddled with the 64bit architecture flags in the build process errornously - why would the 32bit version be kept working otherwise? This does not mean that we will get a fix, though....
