Hello Manuela,
Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand you're looking to switch from a Microsoft 365 Personal subscription to a Microsoft 365 Family plan and want to ensure that it can be installed on both a Mac and a PC without any issues.
You can upgrade from a Personal to a Family subscription by purchasing the Family plan using the same Microsoft account associated with your current subscription. Once upgraded, the remaining days on your Personal subscription will be converted and added to the Family plan.
To upgrade:
- Visit account.microsoft.com/services and sign in.
- Purchase the Microsoft 365 Family subscription.
- Your account will automatically reflect the new plan, and you can begin sharing it with up to five other people.
Microsoft 365 Family supports installation on multiple devices, including both Mac and PC. Each person included in the Family plan can install Office apps on up to five devices simultaneously. This means you can install and use the apps on your Mac and PC without any conflict or limitation
Note:
- If your Personal subscription was purchased via the App Store (iOS), you may need to cancel it through your device settings before switching.
- Your OneDrive data and Office settings will remain intact during the transition.
- After switching, you may need to sign out and back into Office apps to reflect the new subscription status.
Best Regards,
