Características de Microsoft 365 que ayudan a los usuarios a administrar sus suscripciones, la configuración de la cuenta y la información de facturación.
This is posted in the Spanish section, but since you are using English, the content below has been written in this language. Let me know if you want to change to a different option.
I understand why this is confusing, Sania Jelic,
Outlook mailbox storage and Microsoft cloud storage actually have separate quotas, so it's totally possible for OneDrive to have 1TB but Mailbox is already full. However, even in that case, it should be 100GB. Seeing only 10 GB suggests the subscription may not be correctly applied to this Hotmail account. Please check one more time:
- If you're invited to Microsoft 365 Family, make sure you accepted the sharing invitation with this account.
- Sign in at Subscriptions using the affected Hotmail address. Make sure Microsoft 365 Family appears there.
- Also in the same page, check Outlook under Microsoft Storage and confirm if it's taking over 10 GB.
Since Microsoft Q&A is just a community support forum, the contributors here unfortunately do not have access to account data to verify and manage your storage change. So if your subscription is correct but Hotmail is still locked with 10 GB instead of the expected 100 GB, you would need to contact support next:
- Visit Contact Us - Microsoft Support > Sign in
- Enter / choose an issue > Get Help to make request
- Scroll down > click Contact Support to connect to an agent
- Select a category > continue and you should reach the chat option.
- If you don't see it, go through another category (e.g. Billings and payments...)
Note: The support contact team only works at certain times, so if the last window shows that it's unavailable, try opening it again the next day. If you prefer phone support, you can leave a phone number. This way, they can call you and help you.
In the meantime, if the account is actually over its displayed quota, deleting some large Outlook attachments and emptying Deleted Items may bring it below the limit and restore mail functionality.
