I was at [moderator's note: PII removed]. When I returned to [moderator's note: PII removed] and started Forza Horizon 6 it said account not found. Xbox app logged me out. Email from Microsoft said password and email changed. Now account is blocked by Microsoft.

My Google and Steam were also hacked same week, I recovered them. Gmail shows to which email Microsoft account was changed. When I try to login, it asks for security key / passkey. I had fingerprint login and hacker did not remove it, I could login for short time, but now blocked.

Since May I write to Microsoft, no answer. I also clicked delete account by mistake - PLEASE CANCEL DELETION, I want to recover. If account is in deletion queue, please stop it.

I know my original email, I have trusted device.

    Hi olololekekek #206,

The most urgent step is to determine whether the account is still pending closure rather than already deleted. If the account is still within the 30- or 60-day grace period, successfully signing in and completing the security verification will reopen the account and cancel the pending closure: Reopen your Microsoft account

Because the attacker appears to have changed the sign-in alias and added an unfamiliar passkey, please use the Microsoft Account Sign-in Helper. If possible, complete the process from a trusted device and location previously used with the account, and provide the original account information as accurately as possible.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and contributors, including external Microsoft employees, cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. My role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas.

I know this is not the news you were hoping for, but I wanted to make sure you received the most accurate information about your situation. Unfortunately, no one in the community can directly cancel the deletion request, restore the original alias, or change the account’s security information. Regaining access requires successful ownership verification through Microsoft’s official recovery process.

For further guidance, please refer to How to recover a hacked or compromised Microsoft account. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Use the Microsoft hacked-account recovery process first. The sign-in helper asks for the email address or phone number and then shows the available self-help options or offers the chance to talk to an agent.

If the account is blocked because of unusual sign-in activity, the standard unblock path is to reset the password. If that does not work, use the sign-in help flow for cases where sign-in or password reset fails.

Because the account was changed without permission, do these steps in order:

    1. On the PC used to access the account, run a full malware scan before changing any password.
      • Open Virus and threat protection.
      • Select Scan options > Full scan > Scan now.
    2. Use the hacked or compromised account recovery flow.
      • Enter the original email address or phone number.
      • Follow the guided recovery options.
      • If offered, use the option to speak with an agent.
    3. If sign-in is possible again, immediately change or reset the password.
    4. After access is restored, review account settings that attackers commonly change:
      • connected accounts
      • forwarding
      • automatic replies
    5. Strengthen the account after recovery:
      • add another way to sign in or verify
      • keep security info up to date
      • consider Microsoft Authenticator or going passwordless

If the account shows as locked, sign in at https://account.microsoft.com. If the Let's prove you're human option does not appear, use the reinstatement link shown in the sign-in window and submit that form. After submission, a Microsoft Online Safety support agent reviews it and contacts by email. Do not submit multiple requests, because that can slow the response.

Support agents cannot send password reset links or directly change account details. The supported path is the recovery or reinstatement process and the sign-in helper.

No supported cancellation process for an accidental account deletion request is provided in the available guidance.
