    Hello,

Just to make sure we handle this right, are you trying to free up space on your physical laptop drive because you are out of room for apps and local files, or are you just trying to clear out your cloud files to stop that OneDrive full message?

They are basically two separate storage bins that get synced together. Let me know which space you are really trying to clean up so I can get you the exact steps without causing any accidental data loss.

To free up OneDrive storage, remove files from OneDrive itself, then empty the OneDrive Recycle Bin. If OneDrive is over quota, files become read-only until space is freed or more storage is added.

    1. Sign in to OneDrive and review what is using space.
      • Check the largest files first.
      • Recycle Bin items also count against storage.
    2. Delete files that are no longer needed.
      • Look for large files, ZIP files, videos, screenshots, and other items that can be removed.
      • If files should stay on the Asus Zenbook but not in OneDrive, move them out of the OneDrive folder to another folder on the PC. This stops them from counting against OneDrive storage.
    3. Empty the OneDrive Recycle Bin.
      • Deleted files do not free space until they are also removed from the OneDrive Recycle Bin.
      • There can be a short delay before the freed space shows in the storage total.
    4. Reduce local disk usage if the PC also shows low space.
      • Open the OneDrive app, then go to Settings > Account > Choose folders and stop syncing folders that are not needed on the PC.
      • After sync finishes, right-click files or folders and choose Clear space to make them online-only.
      • Empty the PC Recycle Bin/Trash.
    5. If more space is still needed, buy more OneDrive storage.

    Important:

    • Files in Desktop, Documents, and Pictures may be inside OneDrive if they were backed up there.
    • Files moved out of OneDrive are no longer backed up in OneDrive.
    • Outlook data files such as PST files are not suitable for OneDrive and can affect syncing.
