Thank you! I have your service for excel, word, notes, and power point. I pay yearly. It is due now I guess, but I have a different card to use. You have not contacted me for payment.

    Hi Rosario McGuigan,

Since you want to use a different card for your annual Microsoft 365 renewal, first sign in to your Services & subscriptions page with the Microsoft account that owns the subscription.

Find Microsoft 365 and select Manage:

    • If you see Change how you pay, select it and add or choose the new card.
    • If the subscription shows a past-due balance, select Pay now and enter the new payment method when prompted.
    • If the payment-management options are missing, the subscription may have been purchased through a third party, such as an app store or retailer. In that case, the payment method must be updated through that provider.

Could you let me know what status appears beside the subscription, such as Renews on, Expires on, or Past due, and whether it was purchased directly from Microsoft? Please do not share any card details or other payment information here. Thank you so much for your understanding.

To update the card for a Microsoft 365 Personal/Family-style subscription:

    1. Go to Services & subscriptions and sign in with the Microsoft account that has the subscription.
    2. Find the Microsoft 365 subscription.
    3. If the subscription is past due, select Pay now.
    4. Check the payment method shown there.
    5. If needed, add a new payment method or update the existing one, then continue the payment.

If the card on file shows an error:

    1. Go to Payment options.
    2. Sign in with the same Microsoft account.
    3. Update the payment method.
    4. Then return to Services & subscriptions and complete the payment.

    Important details:

    • If the subscription is past due, payment must be made from Services & subscriptions.
    • Gift cards, subscription cards, and Microsoft account balance can’t be used to pay a past-due subscription.
    • If Microsoft 365 apps show a billing or subscription notice, updating the payment method and paying the balance should resolve it.
