I have been using word on-line. I am unable to open it, I see in recent but not in files. I have done everything and still get this error. I have used this account and see all my last documents from back in March 2026. This is a huge project which I am doing and need to restore and be able to use word. I did remove my ACCOUNT: not sure if that is considered private. Please HELP!

Account: (this is my correct account)

    Hello Kathy Kloehn

I understand how concerning this is, especially since this is a large document that you created recently.

Because the document appears under Recent but not under My files, the Recent entry may be pointing to a file that was saved under another location or account, moved, or is currently affected by an account-level access problem.

    Please try the following:

    1. Sign in directly to OneDrive on the web and confirm that the account shown in the upper-right corner is the same account used when creating the document.
    2. Use Search everything to search for the document by its title or words that may appear in the file name.
    3. Check My files, Shared, and the Recycle bin. If the document is in the Recycle Bin, select it and choose Restore.
    4. Open a private or InPrivate browser window, sign in with only the correct Microsoft account, and try opening the document again from OneDrive rather than from the Recent list.
    5. If the document is found, use Download or Save a copy immediately before making further changes.

Feel free reply back to this post if you need further assistance, I'll be happy to help.
