Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
Yes. In classic Outlook for Windows for business, if the message is no longer in Deleted Items, check the hidden Recoverable Items folder.
- Make sure Outlook is online and connected to the mail server.
- In Outlook, open Deleted Items.
- On the Home tab, select Recover Deleted Items From Server.
- If the email appears, select it, choose Restore Selected Items, and select OK.
- The restored item goes back to Deleted Items. Move it from there to Inbox or another folder.
Important limits:
- If the folder is named Trash instead of Deleted Items, the account does not support this recovery method.
- If Recover Deleted Items From Server is missing or grayed out, the account may not support recovery from the server.
- Permanently deleted items can be recoverable only for the retention period set by the administrator.
- If the item is not in the recovery window, contact the system administrator. In Exchange Online, administrators can search for and recover deleted messages if the deleted item retention period has not expired.
