To help narrow down the activation issue:
- Is this a Microsoft 365 subscription or a one-time Office purchase?
- What exact error message appears when you try to activate Office on your new Mac? Could you share a screenshot of the activation screen? Please hide any personal information or product key.
In the meantime, sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services using the Microsoft account associated with your Office purchase. Check whether your subscription or Office license appears there.
