Please provide full details on the problem you are experiencing with Microsoft 365.

Is this a problem using the apps, and if so, please provide a screenshot of any error you are seeing, and are you using the Office apps on a Windows PC or on an Apple Mac computer.

If this is a subscription problem, log into your Microsoft account on this link: https://account.microsoft.com/services/

Check the expiry date listed on your subscription, is that listed correctly.

If not, click the Billing icon on the left, is it indicated your payment has been processed correctly.

I had to have my PC totally reinstalled and now am having issues. My Excel files are being listed multiple times...every time I open it shows in the recent files list. Also there is a file that I've deleted (renamed) but it still appears and when I open one of the list, it opens an entirely different file (the original file name has an & in the name)

This is very strange, who reinstalled Windows for you?

Open File Explorer, then click Documents on the left, are your files stored in that folder, and if so, if you open a document from there, does the correct version of the file open from there?

If you use OneDrive to sync your files online, has OneDrive been correctly linked back to your PC after Windows was re-installed to sync your files back to your PC?

That is the Home (recent) section which seems to show many different versions of your files.

In the left pane, in the OneDrive folder, are you able to find and access your files from there?

A local company who I've never had issues with before, but I believe the tech who did this was new. The file on the left called Documents is where everything went that was on my C drive prior to re-install and yes, the current version is there. I'm not sure if One Drive was correctly synced back to my PC files. I didn't set up all my PC files to automatically sync to One Drive.

If your files are accessible in the Documents folder on the left, then that tech has made a mess of restoring your files, the best option is to clear out that Home - Recent file list, and then as you open your files again, that list will re-populate with the correct versions of your files.

This process will just clear the shortcuts from the recent list, not delete your files.

Click your Start Button, then just type cmd and on the resulting menu, right click Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator'

Paste this command into Command Prompt and press Enter:

del /F /Q %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\*

Paste this command into Command Prompt and press Enter:

del /F /Q %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations\*

Paste this command into Command Prompt and press Enter:

del /F /Q %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations\*

Then, close Command Prompt and restart (not shut down) your PC.

OK, I followed your instructions. I didn't get the "run as Administrator" prompt, but I'm setup as the Administrator on this PC.

I looked at my File Explorer, and all the duplicatess have cleared!! All but that one that keeps opening and not the correct file when I open it!

If that file is listed in the recent list, if you right click it, is there a 'Remove from List' option?

Okay, clearing that list should remove the mess that tech created, and you should be able to work on your files from the Documents folder now.
