Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Sign in to the Microsoft subscriptions page with the personal Microsoft account used to buy OneDrive; cancel it there if Microsoft manages the billing, or contact your mobile carrier if the subscription is carrier-managed.
Cancel the subscription
- Open Microsoft account Services & subscriptions.
- Sign in with your personal account, not your work account.
- Locate the OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Basic, or Microsoft 365 Personal subscription.
- Select Manage.
- Select Cancel or Upgrade or Cancel, then complete the confirmation steps. [^1^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Cancel your Microsoft subscription | Microsoft Support")
If the page shows Turn on recurring billing, cancellation is already scheduled: the subscription will expire on the displayed date, with no further automatic charges.
If the subscription is not listed or has no Cancel option
That usually means either a different personal Microsoft account was used or billing is managed by a third party. Microsoft’s subscription page indicates the billing arrangement:
- Manage, Cancel, or Change payment appears: Microsoft manages the subscription.
- Management options are absent or limited: a third-party provider may manage it. [^2^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Where can I manage my Microsoft 365 subscription? | Microsoft Support")
Because the charge appears on your cellphone account:
- Check the carrier bill for the exact service name or billing description.
- Ask the carrier’s billing or subscriptions team to identify and cancel the recurring charge.
- If the carrier says it is not theirs, check any other personal Microsoft accounts you may have used. Do not use the work account unless it originally purchased the subscription.
- If Microsoft billing is shown but cancellation remains unavailable, use Microsoft’s cancellation troubleshooting or guided support. An unpaid overdue balance can prevent cancellation. Before cancelling
Cancelling the paid subscription does not delete the personal Microsoft account. When the subscription ends, its cloud-storage allowance reverts to the free 5 GB allowance. If stored OneDrive and Outlook.com attachment data exceeds that allowance, uploads, edits, and synchronization can stop; Microsoft also warns that OneDrive files may eventually be deleted after the account remains over quota. Download or move any required personal files before the paid period ends.
