    1

    Open Word.

At the top right of Word, log out of Office.

Restart (not shut down) your PC, then log back into Office, is your subscription then recognized correctly.

    2

If not, log into your Microsoft account on this link, check the expiry date listed on your subscription, is that listed correctly.

    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

If not, click the Billing icon on the left, is it indicated your payment has been processed correctly.

This usually happens when the subscription or payment status in the account has not fully refreshed in Office yet.

    1. Close all Office apps.
    2. Go to the Services & subscriptions page and sign in with the Microsoft account used for the Microsoft 365 subscription.
    3. Under Microsoft 365, confirm the subscription shows as active. If it shows expired, renew it first.
    4. Go to the Payment options page.
    5. Check whether the updated card shows any error. If it does, update the payment method details again.
    6. Restart Word or another Office app and check whether the warning is gone.

If the subscription is active and the payment method is updated but the message still appears:

    1. Open Word.
    2. Sign out of Office from the top-right account menu.
    3. Restart the device.
    4. Sign back in with the same Microsoft account that owns the subscription.

If the warning still continues, use Contact Support from Microsoft Support for account-specific help.
