Artifact Signing organization validation In Progress since October 21 — request for support routing

Our organization, WOLF PEOPLE PROPERTY INTELLIGENCE LLC, submitted a Public organization identity-validation request for Azure Artifact Signing on October 21, 2026. The existing request still shows In Progress on November 4.

We need a company Public Trust certificate profile for future WPPI Windows releases. The existing working signing profile is associated with the owner's individual identity. D&B has now issued the company's D-U-N-S number, which is available if needed through a private support channel.

We checked the organization request in Azure and the contact mailbox. The portal's Support + Troubleshooting flow for 'Identity Validation - Organization / In In Progress state more than 7 days' stalled at Analyzing root cause. The subscription has Basic support, and no existing Azure support ticket was found.

Could a Microsoft Artifact Signing moderator please advise how to obtain a status review of this existing request and confirm whether any email, representative or business-document verification remains outstanding? Please provide an approved private channel for the validation ID and subscription details. We would like to keep the current working individual profile intact while the company review is resolved.

Request a moderator-assisted review through this Microsoft Q&A thread using the Artifact Signing tag, and provide the validation ID and subscription details only after a Microsoft moderator opens a private-message conversation.

    1. Keep the current organization validation request open.
Do not create a duplicate request for the same entity: Microsoft states that duplicate requests do not help and that identity validation cannot be expedited.^1^
    2. Ask a Microsoft moderator on this thread to initiate a private message.
Microsoft Q&A private messages are visible only to the question author and Microsoft moderators. Subscription IDs, tenant IDs, support-ticket IDs, logs, and email addresses are approved for exchange there.^2^ Once the private-message banner appears, provide:
      • Identity validation ID
      • Azure subscription ID
      • Tenant ID
      • Artifact Signing account name and region
      • Primary validation email address
      • Request creation date
      • Legal organization name and D‑U‑N‑S number
      • Screenshot showing In Progress
      • Confirmation that no verification or document-request email was received
Do not post those identifiers or business documents in the public thread. Q&A private conversations are deleted 30 days after the moderator’s first message, so retain your own case notes.^2^
    3. Request these specific checks from the validation team:
      • Whether primary-email verification completed
      • Whether representative/individual verification is outstanding
      • Whether business documents or public-record confirmation are required
      • Whether the newly issued D‑U‑N‑S number can be added to the existing review
      • Whether the request is waiting on the registration authority or validation vendor

Similar organization-validation cases that remained In Progress were resolved after details were exchanged privately and the validation team reviewed the request.^3^

    Portal support fallback

Since the resource-level diagnostic stalled, try the portal’s global support entry instead:

    1. Azure portal → select ? in the global header.
    2. Describe the issue as Artifact Signing organization identity validation in progress more than seven business days.
    3. If recommendations or diagnostics appear, select Create a support request. If the workflow enters recommended solutions, select Return to support request, then Next.^4^
    4. Select the affected subscription and the closest available Artifact Signing / identity validation service and problem type.
    5. Include only nonconfidential context in the initial description; provide sensitive identifiers through the ticket’s secured exchange.

Creating a support request requires subscription-level Owner, Contributor, Support Request Contributor, or equivalent Microsoft.Support/* permission. Technical support also requires an eligible support plan; Basic support does not provide technical support.^4^ If the plan prevents submission, the tagged Q&A moderator/private-message route is the documented alternative for Artifact Signing identity-validation assistance.^1^

    Preserve the working individual profile

Do not delete the working individual certificate profile, its Artifact Signing account, or its associated identity validation while this review is pending. Deleting an account removes its certificate profiles and stops associated signing; deleting an identity validation can affect linked profiles across accounts in the subscription.^5^

The organization’s Public Trust certificate profile can be created after its organization identity validation reaches Completed. Artifact Signing supports multiple identity validations and certificate profiles, and a completed aligned identity validation is required before creating the corresponding profile.^6^

Because the mailbox and portal status have already been checked, no further client-side troubleshooting is indicated unless the validation details change to Action Required. In that state, follow the displayed instructions promptly; verification links sent to the primary email expire after seven days.^7^
