Years ago, I added several folder under my outlook. Since then I have save emails from those folder to my desktop folder. I have tried to delete the folders from the side bar of my outlook account, will no results. I right click on the folder, click on the delete folder then a boxes appears on my screen to you want to send the deleted folder and I click on Yes. It removes the folder for a short minute and then it reappears in the side bar. Please advise. I have asked Xfinity my Internet provider to help and they indicated that the folders were added by me, they would not be able to help and contact Microsoft. Thanks in advance for your help

    Thank you for reaching out. Since the folders disappear briefly and then reappear, they are most likely being synchronized back from the Xfinity mail server.

    Please sign in to your Xfinity webmail through a browser and try deleting the folders there first. Once deleted, empty the Trash folder, restart Classic Outlook, and check again.

    If you only want to remove the folders from the Outlook sidebar, right-click your Xfinity account name and select IMAP Folders > Query. Select the unwanted folders and click Unsubscribe. This prevents subscribed IMAP folders from appearing in Outlook.

    Before deleting anything, please confirm that all important emails have been saved, as deleting a folder may also delete its contents.
