Microsoft employees don't provide support for users of their consumer software. Microsoft has hired a considerable number of outside contractors for users who feel a need to speak with someone connected to Microsoft. To speak with them you need to initiate a chat, which you can find here:

    https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

The money that we pay Microsoft is for the right to use their software. There are more than a billion users of Microsoft software all over the world. No organization can afford to support that many users for free.

If it helps: For most of my technical questions, I use artificial intelligence. (I like ChatGPT.) I have received outstanding help from AI, and I can help you with that. With artificial intelligence, the more clearly you can express yourself, and the more relevant detail you can provide, the better an answer you'll get. Of course, the same is true when dealing with a live person.

Request a callback through the Windows Get Help app; this Q&A forum cannot place or arrange support calls.

    Request a Microsoft 365 callback

    1. Open Start, search for Get Help, and open the app.
    2. Sign in with the Microsoft account associated with Microsoft 365.
    3. Briefly describe the problem and proceed through the suggested help.
    4. Select Contact Support when it appears.
    5. Choose Microsoft 365 and Office, select the category matching the issue, and then select Confirm.
    6. Choose Provide your phone number and a support agent will call you.
    7. Submit the number and save the displayed support request number.

Microsoft states that callback times vary. The callback option itself may also vary according to operating hours, product, issue, and subscription. If callback is unavailable, choose Chat with a support agent in your web browser instead.^1^

Alternatively, use the official Microsoft customer-support page, select Get help, describe the issue, and proceed to the contact option offered for the account and product. Available support differs between home and business products.^2^

For privacy, remove the telephone number from this public post. Only enter it within Microsoft’s official callback form.
