Because the Azure for Students offer has already been renewed but its subscription remains Disabled, verify that the renewed credit term appears and then ask Azure Billing Support to check the subscription’s entitlement and complete reactivation.

    Check the renewed benefit

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft Azure Sponsorships portal using the same account used for the Azure for Students renewal.
    2. On Balance, check:
      • Remaining credit
      • Credit expiration date
      • Whether the renewed term is displayed
    3. Select Usage, then select the Azure for Students subscription to review any credit consumption.

Azure for Students provides a renewable $100 credit for 12 months while student status remains valid.^1^

    Request reactivation

If the portal shows a new credit term but the Azure subscription is still disabled:

    1. Open Azure support.
    2. Select Create a support request.
    3. Choose a billing/subscription problem type and identify the disabled Azure for Students subscription.
    4. State that:
      • The student offer was successfully renewed.
      • The renewed credit and expiration date are visible, if applicable.
      • The associated subscription remains Disabled and cannot create resources.
      • An entitlement and subscription reactivation check is required.
    5. Include the subscription ID and screenshots of the subscription status and renewed balance. Do not post those details publicly.

Microsoft’s student-subscription guidance directs users to Azure Support when reactivation is required.^2^

After Support reactivates it, resource creation or management can remain unavailable briefly. If the subscription is active but resource operations still fail after 30 minutes, contact Azure Billing Support again.^3^

If the renewed term is not shown

Ask Support to verify whether the renewal was attached to the correct Microsoft account and Azure subscription. If student status is no longer valid, the student offer cannot be renewed; continued use then requires upgrading to pay-as-you-go.^1^

Do not upgrade merely to troubleshoot if the renewed student benefit is already visible. A pay-as-you-go upgrade can enable resources, but subsequent usage can incur charges.^2^
