Deleted Appointments not in Deleted Items Folder (Outlook NEW)

When I delete an appointment in Outlook NEW, it doesn't appear in the deleted items folder. I can still find a deleted appointment by opening Outlook Classic and deleting from there, though I'd rather not do a workaround. Where do I find a deleted appointment or is this an oversight with Outlook NEW?

    Hi TJ Garland

Deleted calendar appointments should normally appear in the Deleted Items folder, just like other deleted Outlook items. If appointments deleted in New Outlook are not appearing there, this may indicate an issue with how New Outlook handles the deletion or synchronizes the calendar item with the mailbox.

I would suggest checking the following:

-Check Deleted Items in New Outlook: Switch to the Mail view, open Deleted Items, and search for the appointment by its subject.

-Open Deleted Items and look for Recover items deleted from this folder at the top of the message list. Check whether the appointment appears there.

-Sign in at https://outlook.office.com/ and check Deleted Items and Recoverable Items there. This helps determine whether the issue is specific to New Outlook or also affects the mailbox itself.

To help narrow this down, please let me know:

-Does this happen with all appointments or only certain ones?

-Does this happen with regular appointments you created yourself, or also with meeting invitations received from other people?

-Does the behavior occur only in New Outlook, or do you see the same result in Outlook on the web?

The answers should help determine whether this is a mailbox issue or a client-specific issue in New Outlook.
