Hi Elizabeth Alonso,
I understand why seeing the new laptop restore from a November 2023 backup would be concerning when you need your more recent files.
The device backup date and your OneDrive cloud contents are separate. Restoring the new laptop from an older Windows backup should not roll your OneDrive files back to November 2023. Files that successfully synced from the stolen laptop should still be available when you sign in to OneDrive on the web with the same Microsoft account.
The most important point is to check whether the missing files appear on OneDrive online. If they are available there, allow OneDrive to finish syncing them to the new laptop. Also make sure that the new laptop is connected to the correct Microsoft account, especially if you have used more than one personal, work, or school account.
However, any files that were stored only on the stolen laptop and had not finished syncing to OneDrive would not be recoverable from the cloud. If the files are missing from OneDrive online and cannot be found using the recovery options described above, you may need to contact Microsoft Support for an account-specific review.
Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and community contributors cannot access your account, cloud storage, or Microsoft’s back-end systems to restore the files directly. Thank you so much for your understanding.
