I have two 360 personal accounts I want to cancel one of them. One was billed to me on October. 23 2026 I don't recall where I bought it from or why I have it. The other I bought when purchasing a new MAC at Best Buy on Feb 9, 2026 I will bet billed for a renewal Feb 9 2027. I believe i am operating on the account associated with the purchase at Best Buy. I want to cancel the account I am not using, thinking it is the account billed in October. I cannot find out which account I can cancel and how to do it. Please advise

Use this process to identify the subscription to keep and cancel the other one:

  1. Sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services with the Microsoft account believed to be tied to the Best Buy purchase.
  2. Find the Microsoft 365 subscription.
    • If Manage, Cancel, or Change payment appears, that subscription can be managed from that account.
    • If options are limited or missing, the subscription may be managed by a third party.
  3. Repeat the same sign-in check with the other Microsoft account.
  4. Compare what appears under each account:
    • The subscription purchased at Best Buy is a third-party purchase and must be managed through Best Buy directly.
    • The subscription billed in October can be canceled in the Microsoft subscriptions page only if it was purchased from Microsoft.
  5. Cancel the subscription no longer needed:
    • If it was bought from Microsoft: go to Subscriptions > Manage > Cancel and follow the prompts.
    • If it was bought from a third party such as Best Buy, Apple, or Google Play: contact that provider directly to cancel or manage billing.

Important points for this situation:

  • Always sign in with the same Microsoft account used to purchase the subscription.
  • If Turn on recurring billing is shown instead of Manage, the subscription is already set to expire on the shown date and no further cancellation is needed.
  • Microsoft cannot cancel, refund, or change billing for subscriptions purchased through third-party retailers.
  • Personal Microsoft accounts and Microsoft 365 work or school accounts cannot be merged.

Before canceling, make sure the subscription being kept is the one currently used for apps and files. If files are stored in OneDrive on the account being canceled, download them first to avoid losing access to that account’s storage benefits after cancellation.

    1

    Open Word.

On the top menu of your Mac, Click Word - About Word.

On the resulting dialog in the 'Belongs To' you will find the Email address of the account you are currently using for the Microsoft 365 apps and OneDrive, that is the subscription you need to keep.

    2

Log into any Microsoft account you may have on this link (https://account.microsoft.com/services/) to check if you can find the other subscription.

If you are able to find the subscription you want to remove, click the Manage button beside the subscription and from there, you can cancel the subscription and also disable recurring billing on the subscription.

If you are still unable to find the second subscription.
