just renewed my subscription but can't get the apps to work

I renewed may office 365 on a new Mac paid my 104 odd pounds but cannot get anything to work I changed my password on my MS account but still having to log in via pass key via iPhone ? help is the version correct for Mac or do I need another - I'm sure I answered yes on the Mac question - I'm getting lost down a rabbit hole now ? help

Yes, that is the normal behavior if you use an Authenticator account and have 2FA on. Do you mean you have to sign in again and again, Alan?

I would also want to verify if the subscription is shown as active at https://account.microsoft.com/services before I move on to provide an efficient solution.

thank you no I only use password and passkey which I have to do via the phone -I currently have a new Mac laptop just set up and getting used to I appear now to have got the outlook word excel and power point working - and on my old windows laptop I have outlook on but it wouldn't let me download word excel PP etc as it stated I need to be an administrator - I'm seeking the place on old HP laptop where I can change my status to admin - very frustrating after three hours of being down a rabbit holes warren !

if you have a suggestion id be eternally grateful the hp laptop will be likely retired when I master the Mac there are some differences fir sure

also when I sign in to the Mac to reply to this I have no idea what the password is and have to use the passkey on the iPhone method? is this normal ?

Yes, this is normal. You can Reset password if you like.

However, when trying to download or install Word, Excel and PowerPoint on the old HP laptop, Windows displays a message saying they need administrator permissions.

There seems to be an admin account on the machine which you are not logged in into.

Press Windows+R keys on the keyboard, or Right-click Start on the Taskbar and choose Run.

Type netplwiz.exe

Press Enter.

Do you see 2 accounts in the popup?
