Domain release request from inaccessible Microsoft 365 tenant

I am the verified owner of the domain maavihatimpex.com.

The domain was mistakenly added to tenant:

maaviahtimpex.onmicrosoft.com

Tenant ID:

[Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]

I cannot access this tenant. The only account I am aware of is:

[Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed] @maavihatimpex.com

Sign-in attempts fail with:

AADSTS50020

I need the domain released so it can be attached to my correct tenant:

maavihatimpex.onmicrosoft.com

When adding the domain to the correct tenant, Microsoft confirms ownership but reports that the domain is already attached to the other organization.

I have placed the verification TXT record:

MS=****[Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]

in DNS and can provide registrar ownership proof (GoDaddy/Vercel) upon request.

Please assist with either:

  1. Removing maavihatimpex.com from the inaccessible tenant, or
  2. Deleting the inaccessible tenant if no data exists.

    Dear MAAVIHAT IMPEX,

Thank you for the details you have shared, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Since you can't access the other tenant, the best approach is to open a support request from the tenant you currently manage, asking for the domain to be released from an inaccessible tenant. I'd like to make this as easy as possible for you, so here are the steps. Please sign in as a Global Administrator of the current tenant:

    1. Go to the admin center at https://admin.cloud.microsoft.
    2. On the bottom right side of the page, select Help & support.
    3. On the Support Assistant page, type your message or question into the text box. You will get a set of results to your question or message.
    4. If the results don't help, select the Contact Support (headset) icon at the top of the page or bottom left on the page.
    5. Choose your contact method, phone or email. Add and confirm your contact details and select Contact me. The expected wait time is indicated in the Contact support pane.

To help the support engineer understand your situation quickly, and to save you from repeating yourself, please include:

    • The domain name
    • The tenant you want to use
    • The tenant where the domain is currently attached, and the tenant ID you already shared
    • The error you see when signing in
    • The TXT record you have already added in DNS, and that you can provide registrar ownership proof if requested

Please understand that as forum moderator, my primary goal is to provide helpful guidance and support through general troubleshooting steps. While I don’t have access to internal systems required to resolve account issues, I truly appreciate your understanding of these limitations. I genuinely hope the information I share helps guide you in the right direction, and I'm always here to assist as much as I can within my scope.

I hope this helps. Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated. Please feel free to reply below if you have any update or further concern.
