Wordament game not allowing me to advance

I am on game 98, I have 252 out of 255 stars but I cannot advance. The clear square that usually covers the gate, where you need 156 stars to go through, is not over the gate, it's too high so I can't click anywhere.

I am playing on a Xiaomi tablet and have been for years. I have come out, gone back in, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, cleared cache. Nothing works and it's frustrating. It's bad enough when I have to wait for new maps but I have 7 to play but can't play them.

Please help!
