MicroSoft Ultimate Word Games - specifically Wordament - will not advance to the next game. I have signed out/in and restarted the app - did not work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app - did not work. I have looked for updates - did not work. I am using Windows 11 Pro.

This is not the first time this has happened - I AM AT MY WITS END!!!

What else can I do - I play his game every day

Hello Teresa A Swayze, I’m sorry this keeps interrupting a game you play every day. Since you’ve already signed out, reinstalled, and checked for updates, I wouldn’t repeat those steps.

When you finish a puzzle, does Wordament show that you earned a star but leave the next puzzle locked, or does the Next Game button do nothing? If you can, tell us the world and puzzle number too. That should help narrow down whether the result isn’t being recorded or the game isn’t moving past that screen.

Since sign out/in, restart, reinstall, and checking for updates were already tried, the next supported steps for a Microsoft Store app on Windows 11 are:

    1. Close the app completely and reopen it.
    2. Reset the Microsoft Store cache:
      • Press Windows key + R.
      • Type wsreset.exe and select OK.
      • A blank Command Prompt window opens, then closes after about 10 seconds, and Microsoft Store opens automatically.
    3. Open Microsoft Store and try the game again.
    4. Repair or reset the app:
      • Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
      • Select Microsoft Ultimate Word Games.
      • Select Advanced options.
      • Select Repair first.
      • If the issue continues, select Reset.

Note: Reset can clear app data for that app.

If Wordament still does not advance after that, use Contact Support from Microsoft support for technical help.
