Would like an option to select a start and end date for all activity in a manager's activity report.

I am asked to track my time for the previous week. This would be helpful.

Hi Darren,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Having a custom start and end date picker in manager activity reports is a highly requested feature for tracking weekly and monthly metrics without relying on fixed default windows.

Please try the following workarounds and feedback channels to address this requirement:

  1. Use Microsoft Viva Insights Custom Date Filters: If your organization uses Microsoft Viva Insights (Manager Insights), navigate to the Viva Insights app in Teams or web, go to the Organization trends or Team insights tab, and look for the date range drop-down in the top-right corner to select predefined or custom reporting periods.
  2. Export to Power BI or Excel for Custom Date Ranges:
    • If you are accessing reports from the Microsoft 365 Admin Center (Reports > Usage), click Export at the top of the report page.
    • Open the generated .csv file in Excel or load it into Power BI.
    • Add a Date Filter or Slicer on the timestamp column to isolate specific start and end dates for your weekly tracking.
  3. Submit a Direct Feature Request on Microsoft Feedback Portal: Go to the official Microsoft Feedback Portal at [https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/](https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/). Select Microsoft Viva or Microsoft 365.

Please try exporting the report data to Excel/Power BI for custom date slicing, and let me know if you need help setting up a specific report view!

    Hello Darren Huff,

I understand how useful a custom date range would be, especially when you need to track your activity for the previous week.

The options mentioned in the earlier answer depend on which Microsoft reporting tool you're using.

Could you clarify which Microsoft application you're using and the exact name of the manager's activity report? If possible, please share a screenshot of the report interface, hiding any personal or sensitive information.

That should help us determine whether a custom date range is supported or whether this would need to be submitted as a feature request.
