I purchased a personal subscription on the 14th October 2026. The money has been took out of my bank account but it is still telling me that I need to purchase Microsoft 365. I need this sorting as soon as possible because I have work that I need to complete. On word, it isn't letting me edit any documents because I have "bought Microsoft 356".

    Open Word.

    On the top menu, click the Word icon and on the drop-down menu, select 'Update Licence'.

    Is that process successful in getting your new subscription recognized?

    If not, log out of the Office apps, then log back into the Office apps to check if that resolves the problem.

    If that does not resolve the problem, log into your Microsoft account on this link, check the expiry date listed on your subscription, is that listed correctly.

    If not, go to the Billing section, is it indicated your payment has been processed correctly.
