'Accepted Emails' Wow, this is still in and can't be swtiched off!

As I organise around a dozen meetings per day for a team of 10 users, I receive thousands of essentially unnecessary emails confirming meeting acceptances. I already track attendance through Teams, so these emails provide ZERO additional value.

Because I have Outlook configured not to automatically mark emails as read, my inbox is constantly flooded with unread messages. I used to delete these notifications in bulk, but occasionally someone responds to a meeting invitation with a valid question or important comment, which then gets buried among the notifications and risks being deleted accidentally.

Is there a way to automatically suppress or delete routine meeting acceptance notifications while retaining responses that contain comments or questions?

Dear Andy Przybysz,

After reviewing the latest available information, this feature still appears to be unavailable in New Outlook for Windows. The setting "Update tracking information, and then delete responses that don't contain comments" remains available in Classic Outlook under File > Options > Mail > Tracking. Therefore, if this functionality is important to your workflow, you may need to continue using Classic Outlook or submit feedback through the New Outlook feedback channel while Microsoft continues to develop and enhance the product.

In classic Outlook, go to: File > Options > Mail > Tracking

Then ensure the following options are enabled:

Automatically process meeting requests and responses to meeting requests and polls

Update tracking information, and then delete responses that don't contain comments

With these settings enabled, Outlook updates the meeting's tracking status automatically and deletes routine Accept/Decline/Tentative responses that contain no comments, while preserving responses that include additional text or questions. This helps keep your inbox clear while ensuring important attendee feedback is not lost.

You also can submit your feedback via Microsoft Feedback portal https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback. The  product team is in charge of the site, and they constantly check customer reviews and feedback. The higher votes, the more attention the related team will pay on and a lot of the features are developed and improved based on customer feedback.

I hope this helps.
