Is using a registered DBA okay to pass the advertiser identity verification

Hi, I am new and trying to setup my microsoft bing ads account. Im in real estate and signed up the account with the name, The Frano Group. I have an LLC registered with the state of florida that is called, Peter Frano Real Estate LLC and I would be allowed to create a dba officially registered with the state of florida as, The Frano Group.

Would this pass the identity verification as long as the business address I used as well matched up correctly.

If it won't pass the verification I can file for name change with the state turning my current llc into The Frano Group as a last resort if needed but I am hoping since both names are associated with me and the same industry (real estate) that it might be acceptable. Thanks in advance for any advice or guidance.

    Hello Peter,

Thank you for using our Microsoft Advertising Learn Q&A Platform!

Thank you for reaching out and welcome to Microsoft Advertising.

For Business Advertiser Identity Verification, the legal business name and business address entered in your Microsoft Advertising account should match the information shown on the official business documents you submit.

If The Frano Group is officially registered as a DBA for Peter Frano Real Estate LLC, you may submit the applicable registration documents showing the connection between the two names. However, we cannot guarantee approval in advance, as the documents and information will still need to be reviewed by the verification team.

To minimize the possibility of a mismatch, the safest option would be to use Peter Frano Real Estate LLC as the Legal Business Name if that is the exact name appearing on your current incorporation or registration documents. You should not need to change your LLC’s legal name solely for verification unless you specifically want The Frano Group to become the company’s official legal name.

Please also make sure that the business address in your account exactly matches the address shown on the supporting documents before submitting the verification request.

You may review the complete requirements in the Microsoft Advertising Advertiser identity verification guidance.

I hope this helps, and best wishes with setting up your new account.
