autoupdate says some apps have encountered errors

When I invoke autoupdate it does not finish, it just says some apps have encountered errors..

Microsoft 365 and Office | Install, redeem, activate | For home | MacOS

    Hello, I’d start by reinstalling Microsoft AutoUpdate:

    Save your work, then quit all Office apps and AutoUpdate.

    Download and run Microsoft’s latest AutoUpdate installer: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=830196

    Open Word >> Help >> Check for Updates, then try updating again.

    If it still fails, please share your macOS version and a screenshot showing which apps have errors. Hide any personal information.
