A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Open Microsoft account storage, sign in with the same personal Microsoft account used by OneDrive, and review the Microsoft storage section to see how much storage is used and available.^1^
If OneDrive is full
When the account is over quota, OneDrive cannot upload, edit, or synchronize new files; existing files become read-only.^2^
To free space:
- On the storage page, open Manage your OneDrive storage.
- Review the largest files and delete files you no longer need.
- Empty the OneDrive Recycle Bin. Items there still count toward the storage quota.
- Check whether photos, screenshots, or the backed-up Desktop, Documents, and Pictures folders are using the space.
- If you need to retain everything, download files to your computer before deleting them from OneDrive, or purchase additional storage.
Deleting a file from a synchronized OneDrive folder also removes it from OneDrive and other synchronized devices, so download or copy important files somewhere outside OneDrive first.
If the document still will not print
If clicking Print asks where to save a file instead of sending it to a physical printer:
- Open the document and select File > Print.
- Open the Printer list.
- Select your actual printer—not Microsoft Print to PDF or OneNote.
- If the printer is missing, go to Windows Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners > Add device.^3^
As a temporary workaround, download the document from OneDrive, save it to the computer, and print that local copy.
