Good day Shay,
Just to gently clarify before going any further, this forum is separate from Microsoft Support. I don’t have the ability to access or investigate individual accounts because this is a user‑to‑user support forum.
The notebook content is synchronized, but OneNote can display editable text differently across Mac, iPad and web versions because of differences in screen size, note container width, fonts and application versions. Drawings and highlights are stored separately, so they stay in place while the text reflows.
Before making any changes, I recommend creating a copy of the affected page and ensuring that OneNote is fully updated on all devices, the notebook has finished syncing and the notebook has been closed and reopened on each device.
After that, please try the following on the copied page:
Option 1: Resize the note container
- Open the affected page > Click inside the text container > Drag the right edge to make the container wider > Allow OneNote to sync.
- Check the page again on the other device.
Please note that changing the container width on one device can affect how the page appears on another device.
Option 2: Reposition drawings and highlights
If the text layout looks correct but the annotations are still misaligned:
- Open the page on the iPad > Go to Draw > Lasso Select > Select the affected drawings or ink > Drag them to the correct position.
Option 3: Use a PDF printout as a workaround
You may consider this option to keep the page layout consistent.
- Save or export the content as a PDF.
- In OneNote, select Insert > Insert File as PDF Printout > Insert the PDF > Add highlights and drawings on top of the printout.
Please note: If the note already contains highlights created with a drawing tool, the highlighted text may appear less clear after the page is exported to PDF.
For better readability, select the text and apply Highlight Color whenever possible. Alternatively, export the page to PDF first, insert the PDF into OneNote as a printout and then highlight the content.

I completely understand how these limitations in OneNote can feel disruptive. It’s not just about aesthetics; these differences can genuinely affect how smoothly you work and navigate your day.
