For OneNote on iPad, a practical first step is to make sure both OneNote and any other installed Office apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are updated to the latest version, because those apps share the same Office identity and a bug in one of them can affect OneNote.
If the crash happens consistently after using Draw and tapping Undo, clear the OneNote sign-in credentials and sign in again:
- Open iOS Settings.
- Go to OneNote > Reset OneNote.
- Turn on Delete Sign-In Credentials.
- Make sure OneNote is fully closed by opening the app switcher and swiping up on OneNote.
- Reopen OneNote and sign in again.
If the iPad is shared, OneNote can also be fully reset from Settings > OneNote > Reset OneNote. Be careful with Delete All Notebooks: it removes only offline notebooks, and any changes that have not synced will be lost. Notebooks stored on the server are not deleted.
While testing after the reset, use Undo in the upper-left corner after drawing on the Draw tab to confirm whether the crash still occurs.
