Issues or errors on the Microsoft Q&A website.
The repeated “Code of Conduct” message may be an automated spam-filter false positive, so a Microsoft Q&A moderator needs to review and restore the deleted question rather than requiring you to keep reposting it.
Similar legitimate questions have been mistakenly deleted and subsequently restored by moderators ^1^. The filter can be overzealous, and moderators can reverse its action ^2^.
What to do about the deleted question
- Keep this current post available for moderator review.
- Add a comment containing the title of the deleted question and approximately when it was submitted. Do not include email addresses, telephone numbers, product keys, or other personal information.
- Avoid submitting more copies while awaiting review; moderators can restore one of the deleted versions.
- If necessary, post a moderation request under the Community Center → Q&A site feedback tag and explain that the post was removed immediately after submission. An Outlook-related case was directed to that moderation route for investigation ^3^.
Uninstalling classic Outlook
Classic Outlook is commonly installed as part of Microsoft 365 or an Office suite. In most suite installations, Outlook cannot be removed by itself—you must uninstall the entire suite. Individual removal is generally available only when Outlook was purchased as a stand-alone application ^4^.
- Close Outlook and the other Office applications.
- Press the Windows key, type Control Panel, and open it.
- Select Programs → Programs and Features.
- Select Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office, or the applicable Office suite.
- If Outlook appears separately because it was installed as a stand-alone product, select Outlook instead.
- Select Uninstall and complete the prompts.
- Restart Windows when prompted.
Uninstalling Microsoft 365 or Office removes the applications but does not delete documents, workbooks, or other files created with them ^4^.
If you actually mean new Outlook for Windows, open Start, find new Outlook for Windows, expand its options, and select Uninstall ^5^.
