Contact Microsoft Support to request review of the charge because the subscription is already cancelled and refund eligibility must now be checked against the cancellation and payment dates.

Request the refund

Open Contact Microsoft Support.
Sign in with the Microsoft account that purchased Microsoft 365.
Enter Microsoft 365 refund after cancellation and select Get Help.
If the automated options do not resolve it, select Contact Support and request chat or a callback.
Provide the subscription name, charge date, cancellation date, and payment method’s last four digits. Do not post those details publicly.

Microsoft’s policy states that the most recent recurring charge is refundable when cancellation occurs within 30 days after payment, limited to one refund per Microsoft account per subscription product. If a refund was already approved during cancellation, allow 3–5 business days for it to return to the original payment method. After that, contact Billing Support to trace its status.^2^

If Microsoft did not sell the subscription

If you cancelled your subscription and you were still charged for a subscription, using any Microsoft account you may have, try using the steps they provide on this link to find out what that payment was for.
